El fútbol asiático es muy diferente a lo que se puede imaginar... Se corre mucho y tienen buena competencia en la cancha. Vergara viene desempeñando un papel importante en el equipo de Dalian, muestra su garra y determinación en las jugadas, el cual viene ganando el apoyo de los hinchas de Dalian, reconocimiento entre los equipos de China y prestigio para si mismo y su país.
El equipo de Dalian Shide, el año pasado, quedó en 16º lugar en la tabla de posiciones, hoy el equipo ha logrado mantenerse en la 5ª posición, estando a solamente 3 puntos del primer colocado, significando un gran logro para los jugadores que han llegado en el plantel de 2009, incluyendo Vergara.
Faltando 6 partidos para terminar el Campeonato de 2009, el resultado de este año para Vergara, ha sido un gran y excelente paso positivo, sumando experiencias para este joven jugador chileno que ha logrado conquistar su lugar, ganarse el cariño y el respeto en el fútbol asiático.
